Agulu Grammar School 1998 Set to pay 2025 WAEC fees for students

In a gesture aimed at promoting education and giving back to their Alma mater, the Old Boys of Agulu Grammar School, 1998 set has put machinery in motion to offset the West African Examination Certificate fees of the students of the school for the 2024/2025 Academic session. The Set made this known during a Novelty football match organized at the school in remembrance of their 25 years after graduation from the school. According to the Chairman of the planning committee, Mr. Donatus Ezeudu, the 1998 Set recognized education as the bedrock in which the future of our society will be shaped and that most parents lack the financial strength to shoulder the payment of these fees hence this vision of paying the fees for the students. He also said that the novelty football match between Agulu Grammar School and other neigbouring secondary schools organized by the set will be a way of creating awareness of the school since there has been a decline in enrolment of students in the school. While expressing his gratitude to the 98 Set, the Senior Prefect of the School, Uchenna Richard Onyeozi appreciated the Set as the gesture will be a great financial relief to their parents and a motivation to study hard.

On his part, the Principal of the school, Revd Nnamdi Nwokoye appreciated the 1998 Set for this outstanding role of remembering their Alma mater after 25 years of graduation through novelty football match and payment of WAEC fees for the students. He thanked them and also expressed his desire for it to be done every session in order to motivate the students to be studious and serve as pedestal for more enrolment into the school.
